Who we are…
The Magpie Ministry is a travelling ministry, we hold Somatic Worship Services in dedication to helping people deepen their connection to God, through their connection with their body. We are an interfaith ministry, meaning that we serve people of all religious and spiritual beliefs. We are wisdom seekers, community builders, worshipers who recognize that our walk with God is uplifted by nourishing others, being nourished and preparing a good way for future generations.
What we believe…
We believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience—originating from both the earth and the heavens. In this life, we are called into deeper alignment by integrating our spiritual essence with our physical form. We return to the divine through embodied authenticity, sacred connection, and interdependence with God.
We believe that healing is a birthright and should be offered openly to those who have financial barriers.
At the heart of our faith is the belief that to embody our divine interdependence with God, we must courageously turn toward our suffering, receive healing and support, and open ourselves to connection—with the land, each other, our ancestors, and the Creator. We recognize that spiritual growth comes from integrating pain rather than avoiding it. In honoring both birth and death as sacred transitions—literal and symbolic—we affirm that all beings have the right to die and be born with dignity.
How we Serve…
We understand that we are not only individuals but also stewards of collective healing. Our divine responsibility is to prepare a good way for future generations through inner reflection, land and body stewardship, and a life of outpouring love. We carry all versions of ourselves—past, present, and becoming—as holy. We believe in the truth that “Life is in wisdom’s right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor… She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her” (Proverbs 3:13–18), and we seek wisdom in every season of the soul.
We provide 1:1 somatic healing to people with financial barriers for free or sliding-scale through our scholarship program. If you feel passionate about our collective healing, we invite you to donate and help others heal.
How we Worship…
Our worship is a living practice. It is expressed through prayer, meditation, group ceremonies, ancestral healing, connection with nature, hands-on healing, trauma integration, and ritual bodywork. These expressions of devotion help us hear and feel God more clearly and bring the divine into our daily lives. Worship, for us, is any act that deepens our connection with God and allows us to return to our spiritual essence. Through our sacred gatherings, like Somatic Worship Service we create spaces for transformation and remembrance. So we learn to pause, receive, and trust in independence with God.
