What is Whole Healing Somatic Care?

Somatic work can take many different forms. The type of support I offer is an EMDR inspired program, using bi-lateral stimulation to tap into the subconscious nervous system . This will involve building foundational tools and exploring your memories, stored trauma, emotions, belief systems and body sensation. In this exploration we will support your nervous system and lower the impact of your triggers through the body. These virtual sessions are trauma informed and designed to help you feel empowered, build resources and find whole healing.

New Member Introduction

Finding flow, comfortability and trust with a new practitioner can be gradual. This is why I offer new members the Whole Healing introductory program. For three months we will dive into your story, your goals and allow you to get comfortable with the healing techniques at your pace. This program offers you sessions at a discounted rate with additional perks.

This program is for you if:

  • You struggle with trauma, feel like you’re living life around your triggers or struggle with PTSD/CPTSD

  • Experience chronic pain, tightness in your body or inflammation.

  • Struggle with anxiety or dysregulation.

  • Want to shift negative patterns or beliefs but don’t know how.

  • Feel blocks or stagnation in your relationships, career or spiritual connection.

Specialties

Although I work with all kinds of trauma, there are a few specific areas that I specialize in and have additional experience to support.

  • As a chronic illness warrior myself, I know what it’s like to go through challenging medical experiences. The deep belief patterns that accompany the body seeming to abandon you. The fear, dread and heartbreak that can come with diagnoses. The deep physical and emotional pain. I have touched all of it in a very real way. My own process has given me insight and equipped me to help you receive peace in your system.

    I know that diet, herbs, supplements and other physical healing methods can be amazing! But, they often don’t lead to complete or whole healing. When we work in the deep nervous system, we can finally release those final layers. Allowing your hard work to radiate out through your tissues. This is how we can access true, more whole healing.

  • As a birth keeper, I have a wealth of knowledge and compassion to help you process and integrate your birth. This tender space is so important for the rest of your journey in parenthood. Your experience deserves time to really move through the system. Integrating your birth can make all of the difference. Some things it can assist with is, your bond with baby, physical healing and postpartum depression or anxiety.

  • Preparation for birth and parenthood, for Mothers and Fathers. The somatic techniques that I use uniquely allow us to shift our core belief patterns. Using this power we can open our realm of possibility to a powerful, blissful birth.

    Society, media and even our own birth stories can tell us that birth is meant to be painful, hard, traumatic and emergent. But we know that it can blissful, open, safe, peaceful and expansive.

    Not only do we open the portal for blissful birth, we also use these tools to clear generational trauma and ensure secure bonding for all of parenthood.

    Studies show that clearing trauma in the prenatal time has an extremely positive impact on mother-baby throughout the rest of life.

    Foundational Tools

    In order to explore our hardship, we must create a safe container to hold us. We will start by building a toolbox of grounding, safe and resourcing tools. This toolbox will allow us to come back to safety when we are diving into hard or activating memories.

    Telling Your Story

    After we feel that our tools are strong and the container is safe, you will have an opportunity to really tell your story. This can be a very healing experience in itself and allows us to pinpoint what pieces of your story we want to explore more.

    Exploring the Hardship

    This is where we turn towards the things that are keeping us stuck. This is done in a gentle, body centered way. We will allow our bodies and subconscious to inform us of what may be behind certain emotions, triggers or patterns. I use bilateral stimulation (BLS) to bring wholeness to the process.

    Find Strength

    Once we have explored the areas you’re struggling with, and they feel much easier to be with, we strengthen positive beliefs. We do this by using BLS, our tools and guided visualization. This stage can help us to feel empowered, worthy, uplifted and more supported from within.
